Lillie Anderson was created by the_oogle and is available here.
I altered her personality slightly to include family orientated and nurturing.
And last, but not least, Goosey O’Grunt.
Goosey is a pig, created by Alan Gast, shared at Pixel Trade and is available here.
So, this would be my starter sim, Ken Ettyck, who is destined to become a heartbreaking scoundrel.
In my opinion, Ken looks much better in profile.
Ken Ettyck was made nearly a year ago for Pixel Trade Person Below Me Alien Mission and can be downloaded from here. I’ve changed his traits to fit into how I wanted to play.
MAIL ORDER BRIDES CHALLENGE
Isolation Island: a world created by Rflong7 which can be found here.
Rambling Explanation: follows
The idea behind this is that one sim, a commitment phobe who rather dislikes children moves to a deserted island to get away from it all and pursue his dreams - maybe of writing, painting or inventing. However, once he’s been on the island for a while he decides he’s lonely and would like the company of another sim. So he requests a mail-order bride.
Things go well for a while, they fall in love and have children but living in a house full of uncontrollable ‘brats’ eventually pales and he decides to move out on his own leaving his wife/partner and the children behind.
Of course, once he’s spent a couple of days on his own he starts to feel lonely again and sends for another ‘bride’.
This is repeated until he’s an elder. Just how many children has he fathered? Are they all still alive?
I’m not too sure how this will play out though… guess that’s what I’ll find out in this first play through. I’m already discovering things I wish I had and hadn’t done - not least that I wish my starter sim had been Frank Enstine and then this could have been called ‘The Brides of Frankenstein’. Drats.
I had originally thought to share this on Pixel Trade but it’s been so long since I’ve written anything that I’m sure it’ll read incredibly dully. However, not much text is needed here on Tumblr.
So, although I’ve created the starter sim, I’m using ‘brides’ created by others. Those poor brides are only going to be controllable once a week, on the anniversary of the day that they arrive, so, if they arrive on a Sunday then Sunday is the only day that they may be controlled. I think the children will be totally uncontrollable… oh, except for promising wishes and giving lifetime wish awards, though, of course, they’ll have to fulfil the wish by themselves.
I’m not too sure how this will work on a small, empty island. I’m wondering if it would be better on a bigger world where I could add rabbit holes as I added brides. I’m also wondering if I need to add an extra empty house with each bride, just so that story progression could move the children out as they age. Guess, I’ll just have to play and see how it goes and decide the rules as I go along.
Provisional Rules are here.
